Tiso Blackstar Group is proud to present the 2018 AMARAs – the much anticipated annual recruitment advertising awards whose aim it is to acknowledge excellent service within the industry.

AWARDS CATEGORIES

Best Recruitment Advertising Agency

Winners will be identified by an independent researcher who will conduct a questionnaire among recruitment advertising agencies that advertise within Tiso Blackstar Group titles. Results will be aggregated and the agency that gets the highest ratings from its clients will walk away with the award.

Best Newsprint Creative

This year submissions will be accepted for three categories (i) Public Sector, (ii) Private Sector and (iii) Education Sector category. Agencies will be asked to submit material for this category.

The Publisher’s Award

This accolade will be awarded at Tiso Blackstar Group’s discretion

The Rising Star Award

This accolade will be awarded at Tiso Blackstar Group’s discretion

Entry Process

Best Recruitment Advertising Agency category

In preparation for the event, recruitment advertising agencies within the public, private and education sector will be contacted by an independent researcher to complete their questionnaires at any point from 1 August 2018 onwards.

Best Newsprint Creative category

To be eligible for the Best Newsprint Creative category, the advertisement/s needs to have been published in one of the Tiso Blackstar titles (Sunday Times, Sowetan, The Herald, Daily Dispatch, Sunday World, Business Day, Weekend Post or Saturday Dispatch) between July 2017 and June 2018.

Additional motivation in support of your submission/s is welcome

THE DEADLINE FOR ALL SUBMISSIONS IS 15H00 ON 29 AUGUST 2018.

Judging Criteria

The winning advert should demonstrate creativity and innovation in the recruitment advertising space. An independent panel of judges will select five public, five private and five education sector advertisements as finalists.

These advertisements will be published in the Sunday Times in September 2018 and readers will be able to vote during this period using the link provided. The readers’ choices, together with the judges weighting, will determine the winning advertisements.
